About
The story behind Flight Deck Copy.
The Story
The Brief Version
I earned my Private Pilots license in a Cessna Cardinal before graduating from high school. An engineering degree was quickly followed by a tour of duty as a Naval Flight Officer in the Lockheed S-3A/B Viking aboard the USS America. Then it was back to the civilian ranks and work as a CFI, putting 1500 hours of military and general aviation flight time in the log books.
Flight Deck Copy was built on a simple premise: aviation brands deserve a writer who understands the airspace. The technical aspect, the audience's hard-won expertise — all of it shapes how you communicate, and all of it matters.
Whether you're a kit aircraft manufacturer, a flight school, or an industry supplier, I write with the kind of familiarity your audience can feel.
